CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to everyone. You will need an Associate Membership form from any Committee member. Once you have filled this in, your form will be brought to the next Committee meeting.
The meeting will discuss your application and if approved, you will become an associate member for six months. After this probationary period, your application will then be brought up at the Committee meeting after that date, and if approved, you will be a full member of the Church with all its rights and privileges. Membership does not start until the date that you sign the roll book. This you should do as quickly as possible after being accepted as a full member. More information may be obtained from any Committee member.
Being a member does require you to accept our seven principals. These are the philosophical foundations of our religion, and you must be sure you do accept them before signing for membership. The cost to be a member currently stands at £6. This allows you to attend our specials at a reduced price, and to vote and help in some way in the Church decision making progress. The Seven Principals are as follows;
1. The Fatherhood Of God
2. The Brotherhood Of Man
3. The Communion Of Spirits And The Ministry Of Angels
4. The Continuous Existence Of The Human Soul
5. Personal Responsibility
6. Compensation And Retribution Hereafter For All The Good And Evil Deeds Done On Earth
7. Eternal Progress Open To Every Human Soul
The date that you annual fee will be due, is on the 1st January of each year. You have a grace period should you forget or, not be able to attend the Church for a period of time.
You cannot be a member of our Church, if you are already a member of another Spiritualist Church or, where their principals are deemed to be incompatible or conflict with ours.
PLEASE REMEMBER, MEMBERSHIP DOES NOT START UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED THE ROLL BOOK IN THE CHURCH.
